I recently stayed at Hotel & Restaurant Engel in Herbertingen for a business trip, and I must say, it was a great choice by our director. The location of the hotel is ideal, as it is just 8 kilometres away from the spa town of Bad Saulgau. This proximity allowed me to easily explore the charming town during my free time.
The one minor issue I encountered during my stay at Hotel & Restaurant Engel was the proximity to a local church.

Delicious food and friendly atmosphere, perfect for a day trip to explore the stunning Swabian Alb or Lake Constance. Loved the pet-friendly accommodation and the helpful tour assistance. WiFi was a bonus too!
Breakfast could have been better, I mean, who wants to meet strangers over scrambled eggs?

From the moment we arrived, the staff couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful, which was a pleasant surprise. The room was clean and spacious, and the fresh eggs at breakfast were a mind-blowingly delicious treat. The on-site restaurant and beer garden were a super convenient option for dinner, and the double chicken breast menu was jaw-droppingly huge and tasty. The hotel also provided secure push bike storage, which was a fantastic feature for our cycling adventures. The staff even greeted us outside upon arrival and showed us where the storage was located. All in all, the hotel provided a truly exceptional stay, and we would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at this charming family-run hotel was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the warm welcome and exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction throughout our entire stay. The room was spacious, clean, and had a flat-screen TV for our entertainment. The breakfast buffet was a true delight, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. We especially loved the fresh eggs prepared by the friendly lady in charge. The hotel had a lovely outdoor patio where we could relax and indulge in their mouth-watering dishes from the restaurant and beer garden. The hiking and cycling trails nearby were perfect for exploring the stunning beauty of the southern Black Forest region. The hotel also provided free Wi-Fi, off-site car park, luggage storage, a lift, and express check-in/-out for our convenience. The children's menu was a hit with our little ones, and we were pleased to discover that the hotel was pet-free and smoke-free. our stay exceeded all expectations, and we absolutely loved every moment of it!

If you're looking for a peaceful getaway in a tiny village, this hotel located in the immediate vicinity of a new supermarket is a great option. the location is directly opposite a church, which means you may occasionally hear the bells ringing, but the rooms themselves are spacious, clean and comfortable. the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is quite good with multiple delicious choices.
The ventilation in the bathroom is not great and it can get a bit stuffy in there sometimes.

The hotel location is convenient and with a good parking area. The breakfast options are tasty and filling. the room was spacious and had nice decor.
The church bell situated next to the hotel was unbearably loud and kept ringing frequently, which made it difficult to concentrate during work calls. the air condition system in the room was weak, and opening the windows to cool down caused a lot of noise from the traffic outside.
